Organized Scattered Creative Stagnant Published Rejected Compassionate Critical
I am 44. Gulp. I am currently a stay-at-home mom and freelance writer.
Before this particular venture, I was a graphic designer for an airline’s inflight magazine.
I live in Seattle with my husband, J., who’s an attorney for a large downtown firm and our two kids, a boy who's almost ten and a girl who's almost eight.
I write things. Mostly fiction. I’ve been published in a handful of small literary journals like Night Train and The Florida Review. After coming *this close* to getting representation for my books, I decided to self publish and now have two offerings up on Amazon: Spectacle and The Poem Store.
I wannabe: more outdoorsy, a shunner of chocolate and all things sweet, a lover of extreme exercise, a wood splitter, logical, good at math, endlessly patient. I am none of these.
But I do enjoy clothes, black coffee, fresh air, sunshine, beaches, photography, reading, writing, cooking dinner while sipping a glass of wine and listening to Dave Brubeck, watching my children frolic in grassy fields, connecting with people. All sorts of people.
