I chaperoned a field trip today. It was fun and tiring and dull and interesting.
Fruit Bat and his friend held hands as we walked. And, of course, I wondered, how much longer two little boys will feel comfortable doing this?
Not much.
But the moment. The moment I had today, watching them trek unselfconsciously up the path. I think I'll remember it forever.

There is something to be said for the buddy system.

I love that photograph. I have a few like that of my son and daughter walking along -- also on the logic that I might not get many more chances before they stop wanting to do so. It's a lovely moment to capture.

Adorable! Chaperoning is very tiring, to say the least.

Oh, that's so sweet and innocent. It makes those tiring chaperoning moments completely worth it!!

What a beautiful photograph and a lovely moment captured for future sighs.
I think all field trips are like that: "fun and tiring and dull and interesting." I was on one myself that day. Dusk photos are over at my place.

Two little boys did that on a field trip I was on recently - not my son, but one of his friends.
I thought it was so cute, I wanted to freeze them both in the moment - they will be revolted by such things soon.

That's a great photo. My oldest just finished kindergarten too. I practically feel like she just left college. She was a baby a year ago! Yet there is still such an innocence among her and her classmates that will disappear more and more every time I drop her off in the morning.

Hmm. Seems I arrive via South Carolina
