The kids ate chicken wings for breakfast. I'm fretting over the election and trying to open my heart (largely unsuccessfully) to people who feel differently about it than I do. I have a ton of work but managed to write my page of fiction, which suddenly makes the whole day feel worthwhile. The sun is low at 3:30 and this fills me with quiet terror. J. and I are on good footing. I give him most of the credit. Claire had lice again last week. Our second time in as many years. Gross. All the girls in her class showed up today with hair slicked back into tight buns and braids. There are a million home projects in the works. Both here and at our rental.
Three things that have captured me today:
Daily Kos: Romney protesting Vietnam protestors
Modern Wheat: A perfect, chronic poison
And then, because I now feel like drinking gin out of the cat bowl ~Bossy (this makes me go ahhhh):
Happy election eve, everyone!

Like you, the extremes of political poison being spewed by various people and sites on the internet (I don't usually watch TV) have caused me to step back and evaluate whether it is worthwhile exerting energy in being "friends" with people who spout poison. In the end, I erred on the side of grace as much as possible but did un-friend one person.
