Smalltown Me

#2. Hugh Howey has a lot to say about that. Self-published on Amazon ==> huge fan hit ==> movie deal with Ridley Scott => and then the traditional publishers came begging. As a reader, I've found many wonderful books that were not traditionally published. Hang in there. I loved Spectacle and from what I've read of The Poem Store, I'm loving that too.

This sounds so cool. Glad you had a good day! At least, it sounds like you did!

How lucky to live in an area where great writers spoke and motivated and it was right in the next neighborhood. I wished that you had gotten Maria Semple as your one-on-one. I wonder if you might still contact her and get her input! I'm enjoying your latest short story writing. You are able to capture a little bit of life in so few words. xox

I'm not so great with the new medium of self-publishing (mostly because I am a luddite at heart) ...BUT... I thought Spectacle was great and I am looking forward to reading more of your work. Your short stories pull me in and under like no other.
