We wanted to love this cookbook. We did. The design is friendly and accessible. The recipes are relatively easy. And we like Ellie Krieger's philosophy, which is basically: moderation. Go ahead and cook with that egg yolk or with that beef, but don't go overboard. And substitute healthier options when you can.
But we only liked this cookbook. We tried three of the recipes, the Olive Burgers, the Lemony Lentil soup and the New Tuna Noodle Casserole (which we modified somewhat). And nothing really knocked our socks off. They were all fine. They were quite edible. But they weren't fabu.
Still, we have So Easy (Hardcover) in really nice condition that we'd like to give away. So, if you think you want to give Ellie's recipes a whirl, leave a comment on this post by 10:00 p.m. PST, Sunday, January 10th and we'll randomly choose a winner.
If you're the lucky one, we'll email you on Monday, January 11th.
Good luck!

I'd like to give it a whirl.

I've always wondered if her recipes tasted as good as they looked on tv or in pictures.

Anything that says "so easy" when it comes to cooking has my full attention~

I have been looking for a cookbook that my son can start making recipes from. I know I should buy a kids' cookbook, but something that is called "easy" on the cover might contain things that are tastier. Maybe? I'd love to try it.

I would love to win this book. I need to shake up my recent pattern of "melt cheese, dip chips in it." Thanks!

Well, people mocked me for years with my "moderation" standpoint so sure, I'd like to give this like minded book a shot.
