We used to make this scrumptious app for holiday parties back in the 90s. Before we had kids with nut allergies, before we started to worry about the fat content of brie and before Paula Deen did it on the Food Network.

I've done the brie in puffed pastry before, but this looks even better and easier! Pair melty brie with just about anything and I'll eat it.

I've seen your comments on CakeWrecks and only glanced at the url mentioned. I always thought it said "halfassedkitten" and I just didn't want to know. Now, I'm glad I finally checked it out! I forgot to make anything for a holiday party tonight, but I think I can make this AT the party! Thanks! Love the few posts I've just read!

I won the food gift card last month. Thanks again! I thought I was going to make the Gouda dijon bake, but I made this for our Christmas open house. I served it with Granny Smith and red apples and Bartlett and red pears. This was such a quick an easy dish. Oh, I didn't have brandy, but my mom had the brandy starter for the 30 day friendship cake. So I used that.
