We're truly sorry that every other Half Assed Kitchen post is about soup. But, the soup? It's just so easy to make and so good to eat in winter.

Keep the soup recipes coming! Don't apologize for them. It's winter and it's what we want to eat.

I love soup! Especially easy soup. I wouldn't mind if you posted a soup recipe daily :)

I love home made soups! Can never find too many new recipes to try. They are a perfect meal in themselves...just add a little salad if you like (or not), and a chunk of any yummy home made bread (preferably toasted, oh yeh!) and you're away!
Yesterday it was a cabbage/sausage goulash to use up bits and pieces.... YUMMMMMM ... nothing goes to waste in this 'fridge..... and like you say, so easy, but most people shy away from soups thinking they take a long time or too much work. Once they try a few soups...they'll be sold!

LOVE soup, and black bean soup is especially good! We have made one much like this and carefully run it through the blender. One of my kids liked it so much, he asked for it as his birthday meal when he turned 11!

I finally got around to making this today and oh my god it is good! I served it with tortilla chips and it was perfect. I added 6 cloves of garlic to the mix too. We love garlic! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.

I made this tonight! I was a little worried at first by the amount of thyme added, but after simmering it for 2 hours it was AMAZING. Thanks for the great recipes!
