And, as is typical around here, our sweet and sour meatballs are easy to make, too.
Rating: Truly 1/2 assed
Here's what you need and how you do it
1 pound pre-made meatballs (we use frozen Trader Joes' party-size meatballs)
1/2 onion, chopped
3/4 jar Heinz Chili Sauce
2-3 Tablespoons rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1-2 Tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon cornstarch whisked into 1/2 cup water.
Ground black pepper
If still not sweet enough for you, add ketchup, pineapple juice or brown sugar by the tablespoon until desired sweet/sour combination is achieved.
Mix all ingredients and let simmer over medium-low heat until onions are soft and meatballs are cooked through.

Here's an even simpler one for ya to try.... sounds gross, but the best recipe I've found!
The same meatballs
Even parts grape jelly & heinz chili sauce (The ounces for whole containers won't match up. I use 2 jars of chili sauce, and buy the next largest jelly size over the combined size - you can eyeball the amount of jelly)
Dump all 3 in the crockpot. Cook over low till you can't keep your party picks out of them. Cook over high for about 1/2 that time.
If you've got extra time, you can preheat the meatballs in a large flat glass casserole dish in the oven, and cook some of the grease out ahead of time. That makes 'em a little better for ya... not much though.
Also, you can melt the grape jelly in a sauce pan before you dump it into the crockpot. The chunks of jelly floating in the sea of chili sauce can look a bit disturbing.
