We're busily packing up our family to spend a few days in San Diego. The place that inspired us to make Mexican Meatball Soup about this time last year.
In short, we're overwhelmed and haven't head nearly enough time to cook this week. Sunday, though, we visited the Ballard Farmer's Market here in Seattle. We're hoping a few shots of vegetables and gorgeous multi-colored eggs with hold you over until we can post another recipe.
Thanks so much for following Half Assed Kitchen. We have a ton of fun with it and adore our readers and fellow non-foodies.
The April issue of Cooking Light featured the best travel mugs for heat retention and avoiding spills. I don't know about you, but as a mom of young kids and a resident of grayish Seattle, coffee on-the-go is a must.
The travel mug that keeps coffee hottest (115 degrees after four hours) is the Thermos Nissan Leak-Proof Travel Mug ($30).
The mug that retains every drop of your precious joe is the Oxo Good Grips LiquiSeal Stainless Steel Travel Mug ($20; www.oxo.com).
My Tully's mug is excellent on both fronts and retails for around $15.
